EGCOA Mission Statement

"The European Golf Course Owners Association provides services to support golf course owners in their aims, represents their interests and improves the golf business on a European level."

The European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) is a trade association for golf courses in Europe. The EGCOA protects the interests of owners and operators of golf courses throughout Europe, from 9-hole facilities to owners of multiple golf courses.

With the growing role of the European Union (EU) and the shift of decision making from a national to a European level, the role of the EGCOA as Europe's leading authority on the business of golf course ownership is further increasing.

Besides the role of a trade association at, the EGCOA is a valuable source for information, education and inspiration on how to operate golf facilities as efficiently and profitably as possible. Furthermore, the EGCOA improves the golf business by creating various programs for growing the game, creating a positive public opinion on golf and cooperating with other EU stakeholders.

The not-for-profit organization is the only trade association dedicated exclusively to golf course owners and operators.

The prime objectives of the association are:
- To look after the interest of golf course owners and operators by representing them on a EU level in contact with the European Commission, other European golf bodies and relevant European and international organisations.
- To professionalise and improve the golf business
- To grow the game of golf
